My name is Michael Orlicky, and I am running for Shasta County Board of Education Area 1 (Redding Elementary, Enterprise Elementary, Shasta Union Elementary, and Grant Elementary). My priorities are: 

1) Promoting literacy

2) Encouraging a love of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) 

3) Preventing substance abuse in our schools

I believe all students can and do learn, and it is all of our responsibility to provide a safe and encouraging place for them to do so.
